One of our key shots is Jack walking through the party highly intoxicated on alcohol and drugs, we had put on our storyboard that this was a close up . However, We looked for some exemplar clips that demonstrated this look. After watching an example from Movern Callar we decided to fix a clip of classical music to a similar shot from Mean Streets. We felt this juxtposition raised the pace of the film and created more drama. We also learnt from different YouTube tutorials and music videos that a very effective way to display intoxication and have a close shot is by the protagonist holding a tray with a camera on and filming themself in the party atmosphere. This is shaky due to it being hand held, close up and will raise tension for the viewer.
